B/B axle length for Campag double?

Hello,
I'm in the middle of building my first ever road bike, and I'd like a little advice about my choice of bottom bracket. The frame I'm building on is a 1987 Raleigh 531c, with a 68mm English B/B shell and 126mm dropout spacing. The drivetrain is going to be a 9-speed, primarily Shimano one, but with a Campag Mirage (non-compact, 39/53) chainset and Record from derailleur. The rear wheel will be a Shimano R550 (9/10spd) with a Shimano 9-speed cassette.
Can anyone give me an idea of what sort of length if bottom bracket axle I will require? I've had a look on Sheldon Brown's B/B sizing page, but there's minimal data there for Campag chainsets - he does recommend a 106mm axle for Record doubles, which seems about right compared to the 110.5mm axle I run with a compact drive, triple chainset on my other bike. I notice however, that you can get a current Campag Mirage B/B with a 115mm axle, which one retail website I saw recommended for use with double chainsets. This seems crazily long?

Does anyone have experience of selecting a B/B for this kind of setup?

Cheers,

Niall
