I am just reacting to recent tv ads about greenhouse gases, saying try to cram as many clothes into a cycle as possible. Also, wish our washing machine had a mini-wash cycle, but it doesn't.
But if you put too many clothes into one load, the clothes don't get as clean as they would if there were fewer. Also, I think if you overload a washer it can wear the washer out sooner.
