I had been blaming the pollution from the outside air where I let it hang out to dry. Well, just sniffed the laundry. Just hung it out to dry. I smell the pollution as I take it out of the washing machine.
Just curious, but why do you wash your Goretex so frequently? I wash my Goretex sailing gear once a year, the only exception to that being if it has been soiled in some way - oil, grease, etc.

Never had a problem with smell.
