TBH, I don't think a 27" frame is that huge when you consider his size. I'm five inches shorter and ride a 25" frame and looking at the amount of seatpost exposed on his Traveller, I'd say the seat tube could easily do with being 3 inches longer. I do pity you for the problems you must have finding a frame that fits well. I thought I had it bad.

But, back to the point, I think you're looking for something that doesn't exist. A long quill stem that doesn't flex. Sorry...
