BS. The terrain (at least treewise) is pretty similar in both our areas, and I run uncut Mary bars which are 640mm end to end, and I don't have too many problems. You just can't fly through the tight squeezes is all.
38cm road drops now, I haven't had a chance to ride on them yet though.
