Congrats on the new
PR! Allways a great rush when you do that. I have a +/- 17.3 mile loop I do for a P-R 3-4 time a year. I can echo the comments on riding on the road, as this course has many starts/stops that screw up the avg speed. I do know that if I can do it under an hour, I'm exhausted. I haven't had a new P-R in like two years, so I'll have to get to work on that. I turn 50 tomorrow, so seems like a good goal for this year...
And ohsmily, not to heap it on, but I did a computrainer ride on Friday at the LBS where I averaged 13.1 mph, and it was one of the hardest rides in recent memory, with average watts above my LT for the hour. I know how hard I worked and the mph just don't tell the whole story.
