It's inane. But the Chrysler Building is ridiculously hostile towards bicycles. If one locks up on Lexington Avenue, in front of the building, locking up to a city signpost, security guards will emerge from the building and demand that the bike be locked up around the corner.
If I lived in New York, I'd be b******** not at the building management, but it's clients; should I be doing business with any of them. In a crowded city suffering from clogged roads, such bike harrassment is unpardonable. Particularily. Does the building own the city streets in front of the building.
