What I'm reading here is that we are all concerned about safety. I see so many unsafe practices on the road this is just one of them.

I've noticed that some of the drivers pass in an unsafe manner by crossing left of center in a blind curve or topping a hill just because they don't want to get stuck behind a cyclist for a few seconds. I also started a thread about some cyclists riding on the wrong side of the street.

Not that I'm an expert but my highschool drivers ed instructor did cover this briefly and I just happened to be paying attention. I think I'm going to write my local paper's letters section and try to start trying to educate drivers and cyclist about how to act in traffic and I urge any of you to do the same. If we all do our part maybe we can make our roads safer for cyclists, pedestians and drivers. I'm going to wait until the weather starts to be consistently warm and I start noticing more cylcists on the road before I submit the letter just so it's fresh in people's minds.
