no i didn't leave the lever in and the tires are both seated . I was looking at the box i bought 700x19-25, and the tires are 30;s would that make a differnce. Both tires are soft, meaning i can push the tires above the stem farther into the rim then elsewear. The rest of the tire is hard to the touch but around the stem.
