I'd probably offer to ebay it for him for a hefty fee saying it COULD bring in some money as all bikes seem to sell
especially chrome ones ..that way both make out reasonable well
That's atleast somewhat fair. You dont end up with a dope bike
but you may get half of the way there if you split the selling price
and you get the extra bonus of possibly helping out a guy without much money

It's not my fault the guy didn't know what he had. After my offer he could've countered if he wished. Considering it's condition and the seller's personal circumstances (he told me some interesting things when we were chatting), I at least saved the bike from a possible garbage dumpster future.
