In Oz there are very few Trek dealers. I think it has something to do with the conditions of becoming a Trek dealer (not allowed to sell rivals, no framesets, less options etc etc I don't know what they exactly are, but it seems like those I mentioned). We have 1 chain of bike stores that carry them. Also the exchange rate hasn't been that favourable (until recently), maybe the sales of Trek in Oz will pick up in the next few years as the exchange rate picks up.

I travel between here and the States regularly, so it is quite easy to compare. The amount of Treks on the road over there is amazing, every second bike practically. Where as here, one 5200 will turn up in a group ride of 30 or so.

Starbucks? What's that? They haven't made it over here (Perth) yet... They are on the east coast though. I can't wait until they get over here! Watery, bland coffee with ridiculous amounts of sweetener in those stupidly oversized cups!! My mouth is watering...
