Duros are all over the place, some people run softer because it takes cracks easier. Sliders use really hard wheels so that they slide easily. For the parking garage racing league it depends if thats weeks race rules state you can pump or not. Pumping boards generally softer wheels then boards you just tuck on. Its like biking, there are good technical reasons to run certain things and certain times but other times its just run what your comfortable on.
