This thread brings to mind my daily rant. As I getting ready for work today, I had the Today Show on the TV as background noise, and they were running their usual pop culture type piece on "Is 50 the new 40?" Well, 50 is 50 and 40 is 40. Truth be told, I do see a lot of folks much more active in their 50's and 60's than I did back when my Dad hit 50. And we look much healthier and younger than people did say 30 years ago when they hit 50. But damn it, 50 is never 40. Why can't they just say, people are healthy and more active later in life than they used to be?
