Why Bontrager/Trek will continue to get my business..

So I talked to the LBS owner tonight about my Race X Lite Aero wheel that the hub cracked on recently. Some of you may have read my "What was that popping noise?" thread recently here in Foo. I've had a lot of anxiety about how this would all turn out. Here's what is happening:

After explaining my dilema about getting the same wheel back due to the rarity of the bike it was from to Trek....this is what they are going to do:

Send paperwork to my LBS to cover the shipping of the wheel back to Wisconsin, they will rebuild the wheel with a new hub, spokes and nipples, but use the rim which is in very nice shape over and ship the wheel back to my local shop.

Here's what makes me a loyal customer of them...They aren't making a fuss about this, not a peep. In many cases they would just send the bike shop a new complete replacement wheel. They are willing to rebuild my wheel so I can have the correct graphics set on it to match the front wheel on a collector's bike. The bike is a 2003. The wheels are 2003. No questions about warranty, no conditions...just put it in the box, slap on the shipping tag and paperwork they are providing and they (trek/bontrager) will take care of it. The cost to me for this? Zero. Honestly, I don't know how I can beat that.

I don't know how long this whole process is going to take, but I don't care within reason. I'm getting the wheel fixed and the bike will be restored to it's previous mint condition. That is why I own all these Trek Carbon Fiber bikes with Bontrager components. Because they stand behind them.
