joejack, you live a lot closer to storrow drive. can you make it down there and do a little cycling, and report back? Sounds like the voice of seasoned cyclists in Boston are not enough to convince you.
Cycling in communities is NOT about chest beating on the internet. A road like Storrow, to be a 'safe' road for 'average' cyclists, would demand MUCH greater accomodation in design to become a bike route used by the majority of Boston's cycling community.
