Like I said, I never said that Storrow Road (specifically) was safe.
I did say,
in general that I believe ("I think") that every road is safe to bicycle on (though I should have clarified I meant every road on which slow moving vehicles are allowed, which I have remembered to specify many times in the past, but not every time). Needless to say, I reserve the right to change my opinion should I ever encounter an exception to this.
And I stand by the assessment I made
from the picture that you posted: it
looks like a great place to bicycle
for me.

I try really hard to be precise about what I say, and what I don't say, to be clear about what I mean. I'm sorry that you see this as "shrouded in argumentative rhetoric". And it's unfortunate that a casual reader might misunderstand, and this often happens. But I haven't figured out how to write precisely and yet not be misunderstood by "casual" readers (it happens here all the time - Diane, for example, seems to misunderstand almost everything I post). I don't know if that's a reflection on my writing abilities, or the fact that's simply not possible to do. Given the difficulty to understand "legalese" - whose purpose ironically includes semantic precision - by the casual reader, I suspect it might be more of the latter. I appreciate your patience and understanding.
