I didn't mean my comment to come off as a slag against Taiwan-made bikes, just a statement about the confusing nature of international manufacture.
A lot of the cheap Canadian brands (Peugeot, AVP, etc) count or used to count as made in Canada because the frames are painted here, and the complete bikes are boxed here. The biggest distributor/rebrander of these bikes here even tried to get a law passed protecting them against non-Canadian companies (basically every brand that's not Cervelo, Argon 18 and a handful of others) by taxing them a huge amount (30% I believe) for selling "imported" bikes, when theirs were the same thing, but they had a home office north of the 49th.
Not saying that's the case for the EAI frames, and I don't know about the USA's laws on this.
