I have gone to manufacturer websites and resellers and have found conflicting information as to the drop and reach (of the bars themselves, not the handlebar drop in relation to the seat). Plus I have a couple of bars in my possession that on paper show a 30mm difference, but actual measurement is less than 10mm difference in these measurements.

Perhaps these measurements have to do with the width of the bars, which is why my original question. Would one style bar in 42mm have a larger drop/reach in the 46mm width? I would think drop and reach would remain the same, unless they are measuring from the stem out at an angle to the drops or something, which would make width a determining factor.

Unless someone can shed more light on this, guess I'll just need to buy the bars and compare it to what I have. I was hoping to be able to determine the exact stem length I need BEFORE purchasing the handlebars, but I may just need to do that after.
