I read this too the other day. Whenever I go to Europe, I'm quickly reminded how horrible things are here in New York with regards to biking and pedestrian traffic. New York is as much car-centric as any other city in America, but we like to think we're better. Blah. Check out Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Stockholm, etc. Not even close.
