Bikes: Owner built touring & tandem

Hi Sholto,

You do have to carry it somewhere. I have always carried mine in my rack bag. When I come to a stop I dismount; apply one, or two of the supplied parking bands that cling to my handlebar; zip open my rack bag; take out the Click-Stand; hold it with one hand while it opens, and lean my bike against it. I bet that this takes 15 to 20 seconds. The plus side to this extra time is it is fun. I think it works conviniently even for short breaks. I will eventually design a bag for the Click-Stand that will attach to the bike frame, but most tourists have a spot somewhere where they could store it. The problem of an under the top tube tire pump is a good one. I think that you could put the Click-Stand against the pump, but I do need to test it out. I am out of town tonight, but I will look into it tomorrw & post my results. Thanks for thinking it was at least clever!
