More snow and cold temps in the forecast for next week in my neck of the woods. So far, I am mishap free this XCC season. The roads have beed snowy with some ice patches on them , but mostly pretty good.

That got me thinking, what proportion of the time is your ride extreme? My guesses for me are (by my defintion of extreme):

extreme snow and ice: 10%
extreme temps (below 0F): 5%
extreme windchill (below 0F): 20%
other extreme conditions (icy rain, sleet, visibility, angry traffic): 15%
