I run a Vittoria Rubino Pro Race on the rear. No major skidding action yet but the thing looks tough.

If you have ever picked up a toad they are all squishy and soft on the sides, so you grip them by the flat backbone part. The rubino pro seems like that also: kevlar bead, flexible sidewall, noticeably thicker reinforced tread on the "backbone" area of the tire.
