I think all of mine commute would be considered extreme. Almost no pavement (only if I take the long way, and then 1/2 of a kilometer). Road is river rock spread over mud. Cows and chickens are a daily obstacle. cow manure is hazards material that must be dodged. TGFF (Thank God for Fenders).

Friday - wonders of wonders - they graded the roads. The river rock WAS well embedded into the mud before - which made for pretty good traction if not a smooth ride - but now, it is like riding on marbles. For the first time in a long time, I had to walk sections. Just couldn't get enough traction to make it up the steepest sections of the hill. However, things look better now.

My line (MTB term) has been totally destroyed and a new pounded path is not yet solid. Sigh. It is going to be an interesting week.
