My xtreme commute has more to do with London roads and traffic than arctic conditions. I low sided last week on my favourite corner. Damage to the bike was minor (it landed on me), damage to me is limited to grazed knees and dinner plate sized bruise on my thigh.
The bike just went from under me as soon as I started to take the corner, I went down hard and slid to a stop. Probable cause is diesel exhaust fumes from queuing traffic and a very slightly damp road, my slik tyres just gave up and let go. Perhaps I should take a photo of my bruised a*$e to use as my new avatar!
