When I played the banjo, I had an instruction book by Pete Seeger. On page 14 it had a little box that said: "To find the secret of playing with a beautiful, sparkling tone, turn to page 58."
On page 58, there was a little box that said, "The secret of a beautiful sparkling tone: practice."
