I was hit with -40C (which, interestingly enough, is equivalent to -40F) windchill this morning. We get similar temps quite often so I have the proper clothing for it but I still struggle with the balaclava open/closed thing. It's closed until I start climbing and then, just before I pass out from lack of O2, it's open. And then, just as my nose is starting to freeze and my lungs are burning from the frigid air, it's closed again. Repeat until arriving at work.
On the other hand, I had a blast.
