Actually, I rode my bent to my daughter's elementary school last year (about 17 miles away) and one of her teachers (young enough to be another one of my daughters) was so excited. She said her dad bike commuted all the time, and still rides a lot in his 70's. (He's old enough to be my dad, too, but I guess you can say bicycling has been good to him in the "male function" department.
