Okay so i was buying into the thought of going breakless. I have all the techniques down:skid, skip, hockey stop, 180 skid, fish tail skid. But then i was coming down a hill today and didn't use my brakes; now i didn't run into anything or the like but it occured to me that i would have to do use my legs all the time for everything. This isn't a prob but when i think of it, how do yall do when it comes to large hills, i mean insane type 125st going up to St. Luke Hospital (for all the NY riders this is meant for you). when comin down fast how do you stop in time for all that's needed. also i think about it in the long term and wonder how it will be for the knees later in life? I know its great not having a brake and being focused but what are the long term effects on the body? You do want to be riding comfy for years right?
There is nothing wrong with brakeless at all. I think it is probably fun (haven't done it yet but may give it a try). I just think what's wrong with having an "extra" brake when your legs get tired.

Im not starting an argument im just stating my thoughts.
my answer to the 'corrected' title of this tittilating post is this:

we do it with our pants around our ankles.
