i do it all campy cuz airlite and brampton stuff go for really high prices and are harder to find replacement parts for. chater lea liked to make up their own standards, and can be somewhat infuriating. my old carlton was designed for chater lea bottom brackets (cottered) and i had to get special cups from phil wood to get my bottom bracket to work and be able to use sturdier, modern componentry.

older english stuff was top notch quality in terms of performance but older campy stuff is a bit more durable, at least from what ive seen and handled in person.
