Well my search for a bike is over - I was supposed to meet a guy about his '90 Specialized Sirrus but he bailed on me, but then I looked at CL this morning I saw a newly listed Fuji Touring Series (1984-ish) for sale. I went, I saw, I rode and I bought it. $80. It shifts better than my 2001 C'dale F500 mtb and is a really smooth ride. It has the 1769 Quad Butted frame. There is a bit of surface rust here and there and some of the stickers appear to be missing. The name FUJI is still intact on the seat tube but there are just the smallest bits of sticker left on the top tube and I can't make out what they once said. The down tube still has the Touring Series III on it. It'll need new tires but I would have changed those out anyway.


I'm thinking of having it painted but I need to find out if I can get replacement stickers first, anyone know if these would be available and where?
