There is nothing wrong with speed and efficiency as a goal. The problem is the assumption of the Forester Gang that because "Speed and Efficiency" is
their be-all, end-all number one priority, it is (or should be) the be-all, end-all priority and goal for
all cyclists who "cycle well." And those cyclists who don't "cycle well" in Forester Speak are not worthy of consideration. And the Foresterites don't consider anyone outside of their own narrowly defined exclusive club.
