I was using a back pack to carry all of my stuff but it's getting over filled and moves around to much on my back. I'm not exactly sure if I want a rack trunk or panniers. I'll need to be able to carry my work shoes, a cap (for my head), tire levers, spare tube, folding razor knife, water bottle, a few other tools,and I want to have a little bit more room to carry other things like my mp3 player, food, extra water, when the need arises. I'm looking to spend about $100, I could spend more but $125 is my limit.

I searched but couldn't find a lot of topics comparing rack trunks and panniers. It'll be going on my 2005 langster fixed gear. Also, what's a good rack. I don't want a rack that attaches to the seatpost, and I want one that will last for a long time. Does anyone have any advice or some reviews of good rack trunks or panniers if you think that's a better choice.
