I live in Atlanta and I can tell you cycling here is okay. Not the friendliest place for cyclists in the world but you can find some good routes. especially if you go a little further north of Marietta and away from the city. But please don't make a decision to move primarily on which town is a better cycling community. I'm sure both will be fairly equivalent as you can find good routes and clubs in both.
