12 miles of frozen MUP

Commute in this morning was fun. Temp was 32F and light misting freezing rain this morning. Spent lots of time over the last 3 weeks riding in snow, but today was the first time on ice with water on top. I am amazed at how well studded tires work. One sideways slip going up the hill under an overpass, but the studs kicked in and stopped the slide. Other than that, just a few minor slips on sections with curves or up hills, but overall felt pretty secure although I did keep the speed down to where I felt comfortable. They're calling for more snow tonight, but that shouldn't be a problem as it should just start falling about the time I leave to go home.
