Everyone seems to have missed this little snippet. My reading of the story leads me to believe that there is plenty of room on the road for cars and bikes to share,
providing everyone holds their line. If you can't control your car while reaching for your sunglasses, then leave them where they are or pull off the road before retrieving them. It also leads me to question whether the driver was looking at the road, or looking in the glovebox at the time of collision.
