Ooops....I see that thread has already started...
I guess I'll be one of the first. Come ride my road. Narrow, no shoulder, trucks BIG LONG trucks going each way at 50-60 mph. Chip trucks, logging trucks, fuel trucks, you name it. I need to know if I got one coming either way well before I hear them and everybody knows that it's easier to move your eyes than turn your head. I am simply more aware of my surroundings on that road than a mirrorless rider could be. That is really not debatable. Making me more aware gives me more options and keeps me safer. I like that.
