I've had a problem with numbness in my palms. I tried to buy some new gloves at my LBS. Most of them didn't have much padding, and there seemed to be a gap between the padded sections. The best I could find were some by Fox. The padding seemed pretty good. However, I bought them too fast. After riding with them for awhile I realized they were too small. They were size XL, which had always fit me before, but they were definitely crowding my hands, which was causing a new kind of discomfort. I put my old gloves back on and felt the difference in roominess immediately. The other problem with gloves these days seems to be that the straps are too short. When you unstrap them, it doesn't do much, so you have to wriggle into your gloves - like O. J. trying to put his gloves on in the big trial (what a joke that was!)

Anyway, I'm looking for some gloves that have good, thick padding in the palms - maybe gel - and that are big. XL would be good if they really were XL, but I might have to go to XXL these days - things seem to have shrunk. If I had my druthers they would have a long strap to velcro them on, with a bit of an opening on the back of the hand, and lots of terry to wipe my runny nose.

Anyone have any recommendations?
