BBT:
I wear XXL gloves, too. My wife has bought me 2 different pairs of long-fingered gloves & both were too tight around the palm so I sent them back. I search the catalogs but only a few brands state 'Extra Large' or 'Long-fingered'. These days for riding gloves (no fingers) I've had success with Specialized Body Geometry - they are stretchy enough and have pretty dense padding on heel of palm and handside base of fingers. Fairly inexpensive at my LBS so I can try them on before purchase.
Recurrent hand numbness for me was also a matter of bike fit (raised the stem even with seat) and remembering not to 'lean' on the handlebar all the time. That's basically a posture issue for me. Also getting a broad top diameter drop handlebar, wrapping 2 layers of bar tape around them and then shifting my hands every few minutes into a different position.
When temps are 55 or below I just pull a pair of Lands End Polartec gloves over the BG riding gloves & they work pretty well down to 40 degrees. Today is 34 degrees, NW wind 10-20 mph and windchill 24 and I'll see how my hands fare riding 4 miles into work against the wind. Wish I had a pair of fingered riding gloves in my size for the few days of cold weather we have...
BTW, you PM'd me some months ago about my LHT - did you get a bike?
