It's sort of hard to tell the weight difference from weight weenies -- frames are difference sizes, and some include the weight of the BB or headset. Here's a couple comparisons:
CAAD3, 56cm, frame w/o headset, BB: 1358g
CAAD6, 56cm, 1556g - 122g (BB) - 24g (seat collar) = 1410g for frame
CAAD7, 56cm, frame w/o headset, BB, 1294g
OR
CAAD3, 58cm, frame only: 1452g
CAAD7, 58cm, frame + bottle cage bolts: 1298g
I'm guessing the frame difference is 75-150g from CAAD3 to CAAD7... not much weightweenies info past CAAD7. I can't prove it, but my hunch is that a large proportion of the differnce in weight between a CAAD3 or CAAD5 frameset and a modern Cannondale frameset is fork weight. (I'm rocking a 2000 CAAD4 with a steel steerer!)
