shimano deore xt hubs

looking at the shimano website (not a very informative website), I found 4 types of both the front and rear deore xt hubs:

so here are the hubs and the differences that i can notice/see:

all can either have 32/36 spokes

rear:
FH-M760-S (silver; Center to Flange: Left 37.55mm/Right 21.75mm)
FH-M760-L (black; Center to Flange: Left 37.55mm/Right 21.75mm)
FH-M765-S (silver; Center to Flange: Left 35.35mm/Riight 23.05mm)
FH-M765-L (black; Center to Flange: Left 35.35mm/Riight 23.05mm)

front:
HB-M760-S (silver; Spoke Hole Circle 38mm; Center to Flange: Left/Right 35.8mm)
HB-M760-L (black; Spoke Hole Circle 38mm; Center to Flange: Left/Right 35.8mm)
HB-M765-S (silver; Spoke Hole Circle 44/41mm; Center to Flange: Left:24.8mm/Right:35.8mm)
HB-M765-L (black; Spoke Hole Circle 44/41mm; Center to Flange: Left:24.8mm/Right:35.8mm)

so can anyone tell me what the actual differences are?
what front and rear would be suitable for a thorn sherpa?
