sugino 75s + phil BB

going to open up an oldold can of worms and ask if anyone has resolved this once and for all by actually installing this pair on a bike?

remember...not spindle length, taper is the question...

the closest thing i could come to a definitive answer was from this thread, additional bold is my own.
this too

No one has ever indicated there is a compatibility issue to us when using the "standard" taper. We have tested the 75 cranks here and determined that "standard" taper is the best fit. However I have not actually ever measured or tested the Sugino BB so I can't tell you what it is. I know the crank is JIS based on the set we were sent and it fit just fine.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Thanks,

and

Someone can feel free to send me a dead sugino BB if they like
and in the spirit of the current american administration, here is my preemptive defense against "why don't you just use a sugino 75 bb?" because i already pitted one and i'm clearly too lazy to maintain one and want sealed cartridge.
