The SI cranks are very good cranks, I only wish C'dale still offered the SI BB on the CAAD series of frames.
You know I can see this both ways. They want to have their best bike have the crank...but if they were thinking they would put it on all bikes. This way you can sell your special cranks and they replacement parts...you can sell your adapters for those that don't want the good cranks...and it makes the BB stiffer because the dia is larger thus having more surface area to weld to.
If I was in the right position down there I would be pushing for BB30 shells on all of the bikes.
