Thanks a bunch to all who posted their best wishes...I'm definitely on the mend, though still feeling a bit beat up (physically and mentally).
I've found out a few things in the last couple of day, specifically:
1) My speed - the max speed on my cycle computer was 40.5 mph. That was probably right before the crash.
2) My auto insurance will be covering my medical bills, because I have something on my policy that covers me if I'm injured in an automobile accident, regardless of whether I'm riding my bike, walking across the street, or in a car. My insurance company will take care of going after the pickup driver's insurance company for reimbursement for the medical bills. Yeah!
3) My bike, a 2000 Trek 5200 (that's been over the Continental Divide 12 times, and climbed Alpe d'Huez in 2004) is officially "totaled". According to my LBS, there's no way to test for hidden structural damage after a hard crash like I had, so Trek won't warrant the frame. Hopefully, I'll be getting a comparable bike to replace it (I'm thinking a 5.2 Madone).
4) My friends were, and are, awesome. I've had plenty of folks from the local cycling community calling and asking if I was OK, needed any help, etc.
Thanks again to all who posted, and be careful out there everyone!
