To my knowledge, just about everything done in business is purely for fiscal reasons. Thats it - the bottom line. Sometimes this is from a long-term perspective, sometimes a short-term view. But money is always THE consideration.
It is nice when fiscal reasons also seem to parallel the common good. Sometimes that happens!
