Yeah, Vanilla, Mercian, Sachs, IF, Serotta, Pegoretti, and Rivendell's all really suck and require a wool jersey when ya ride. Yeah those ugly carbon monsters with so many decals you can't see the frame are really very finely hand-crafted machines that your granchildren will cherish when handed down to them. Yeah right. Most carbon bikes are ugly. They lack any individuality. They look very techno-savvy but have no character. They're, well, they are really just exotic high-tech plastic. A hard bang in the wrong place and they are ruined. But they are light, very expensive, and the peleton uses 'em.
Me - I'll take a hand made lugged steel road bike any day - they have a soul !
