Bikes: Real Steel. Really. Ti is cool, too !

As I recall Vanilla, , Sachs, and Pegoretti were 3 of them.

At least if VN is writing an article on them - that speaks to the fact that steel may be be going though a resurgence in demand. Carbon is so fragile. Good for racing if your team sponsored and get new bikes when you need them. Not good if you have to drop the money yourself. And aluminum is, well, aluminum. Maybe we're seeing a move back to steel for the average cyclist because it's the best all-around material considering cost/performance. And Ti, too - you can get a very nice lite Ti frame theese days for a lot less than a comparable carbon. That may be with the premiere racing cycling rag had a feature article on steel.

And my bike really does have a soul and talks to me.
