+1 That, I think, is the crux of the arguement (if there is one at all). Contrast a Cannondale Synapse such as the one portrayed in the OP's pics -- in addition to that 1cm wide decal in 10-point font on the underside of the downtube, there should be another identical (and equally small) "Made In China" decal on the inside of the fork blade -- with the Giant TCR, whose headtube proudly brandishes a 4cm wide decal in 16-point font which reads "MADE IN TAIWAN".
On the other hand, *everyone* knows Giant bikes are made in Taiwan, because they have always proudly and unabashedly proclaimed so. Just like everyone knows Cannondale bikes are made in the USA, because they have always proudly and unabashedly proclai... oh, oops, wait a minute.
I don't think Cannondale has ever denied that the Synapse frame is made in China. They're just not calling attention to it.
