Thanks for all the replies. I think I will leave it for now and see how it works out. The guy who told me that .50 mm was enough said the same thing--everything will flex together, and the way things will flex will likely not push the chainring into the chainstay in that position--basically the bike won't be flexing at that kind of angle as to push it into the chainstay. Anyway, that's where I'm at and I'll let you know how things work out. Again, appreciate the replies.
