I went out to buy a new 8 speed cassette yesterday & after the usual fruitless search in the local Halfords I decided to try my LBS. On the way I passed a branch of Les Smiths motor accessories and thought 'they do some bike bits' so I just popped in not expecting to find anything worth buying, let alone an 8 speed cassette, but I managed to purchase a Shimano HG50 cassette, a pair of rather nice ally MTB pedals, a set of toe clips & a set of straps all for £17 !! which is what I had expected to pay for the cassette alone. It seems that they may be not be selling bicycle's or bike bits for much longer & were selling most bike related stuff off at half price! So if you have a branch of Les Smith's near you it may be worth a look see for a few bargains.
