You're building a 36 spoke, four cross wheel so I doubt you'll have flex issues either way. You'll get a more durable wheel using DB spokes though.
I can still change it to DB if I feel like it. My 321 that I was running was straight guage, and I got 3 years out of that wheel, and with things like this I'm not about to change something that works perfectly fine for me.
